After the Triffids...

I thought you might like to see our front garden after my mum and I removed most of the Triffids (Evening Primrose plants)

If you click on the photo, you will get a nice view of the buddleia bush now. It looks a bit bare after all those plants have gone, but the heather and the californian poppy etc now have space to breathe.

Aye, it's working fine now! Lovely butterfly bush... mine has yet to bloom this year, but the buds are showing.

Glad I fixed it.. thanks for telling me! Its interesting your season is quite behind ours :-) they are lovely bushes, but oh boy do they grow big if you dont keep good control of them!

Doesn't it feel good to get some tidyihg up done in the garden? My mum loves buddleias but we can't really grow them here, too hot. She has a bush in New Zealand and it looks beautiful when it's in full flower.

Happy gardening...glad you have no more triffids...

Still got a few Triffids left.. they are very beautiful, so I didnt want to banish them entirely :-)

I cut our buddleias back to ground level in the Spring - just after they have started to grow again. This delays their flowering season, giving the butterflies nectar when most other buddleias flowers are nearly finished.
